Are you looking to deepen your understanding of yoga and explore your yoga practice? If so, you may well be interested in a day workshop with Brighton-based teacher Lisa McRory.

Event details
“A day of yoga with Lisa McRory”
Saturday 6th October, 2012
Neuadd Goffa, Penparcau, Aberystwyth, 10am-4pm
Cost: £26

Information from the organiser: “Lisa visits the area regularly and is always popular. Her ability to combine an engaging sequence of poses with clarity and gentleness leaves participants feeling relaxed and re-connected with a deepened understanding of their own body.

“In her teaching Lisa strives to communicate with clarity the transformative power of Hatha Yoga, whilst respecting the anatomy of the moving human body, and the individuality of her students. Her approach is informed by the training she has been fortunate enough to receive over the years from yoga teachers Mary Stewart, Chloe Fremantle and Peter Blackaby. Lisa practiced gymnastics and dance as a child and young adult, but suffered from back problems and injury as a result. Taking up yoga in her early twenties on the advice of a physiotherapist, she has been practicing ever since, and teaching since 1996.”

I have attended Lisa’s workshops before and they are very informative and enjoyable. Based on my experience of previous sessions with her this event would probably be suitable for intermediate yoga students or student teachers. She is also the cover photo for Peter Blackaby’s long awaited book – Intelligent Yoga. I have yet to read this yet but will probably do a review of it when I do.
