As spring develops the mornings become lighter and many people find that they wake earlier naturally. This is an ideal time to make the most of the light and attend a yoga class before you start the rest of your day. Practising yoga early in the morning can give you an incredible physical and mental boost and really does set you up for the rest of the day. If you are someone who works a regular 9-5 job, you can even find that you can cope much better with what the day throws at you. It’s also ideal for people who have busy lives and find they can’t fit in evening classes due to other commitments.
With this in mind I have set up a new early bird yoga class in Dumfries, from 7-8am on Tuesdays. It’s at the Wellness Centre, which is a new venue for Dumfries offering a range of therapists along with yoga and Pilates classes. The class is mixed ability and suitable for beginners as well as more experienced yoga students. Mats available or you can bring your own.
There’s a kitchen in the centre and space to change so if you want to have a cuppa after class before getting on with the rest of the day you’re welcome to stay, and maybe have breakfast if you’ve brought some!
Come along and try it!
