Current yoga classes

If you know which class/es, you can book online here. Otherwise read on for more info on my current classes including the timetable.

I have three online classes, and two in-person classes in Dumfries.

  • Monday 5.45-7pm – Intermediate yoga online – ideal for those wishing to develop their yoga or add yoga to an existing fitness programme e.g. runners/cyclists and other sports
  • Tuesday 7.30-8.30am – Early bird online – a relatively gentle class, suitable for yoga beginners
  • Wednesday 6-7pm – Intermediate yoga DUMFRIES – an in-person class, six people maximum, for those with prior yoga experience
  • Thursday 12-12.45pm – Midday movement online – a relatively gentle class, suitable for yoga beginners
  • Fridays 5.30-6.30pm – Weekend wind-down yoga DUMFRIES – an in-person class, six people maximum, open to beginners and those with prior yoga experience

General info

No special software is needed to take part in the online classes – the classes are streamed in YouTube Live. If you can’t make the day/time of certain classes but want to take the class, book anyway so that you will be sent the link, and then you can do the class at a more convenient time for you.

For the online classes a weekly class pass is available for all three classes (this saves you a bit of time and money!), or you can book for individual classes. Once you have made your booking you will be sent the link for the private YouTube class before the advertised class time.

For the in-person class in Dumfries, please read the accompanying guidelines first, before you book, so that you fully understand how the class will operate within Covid-19 regulations. Rest assured that both myself and the venue (Studio 3, Lovers Lane Studios), are following all the necessary guidelines to ensure that the in-person classes are safe and still enjoyable. Refund policy for in-person classes: I can provide a refund if you cancel your booking with more than 24 hours notice.

Yoga classes available – more info

Intermediate yoga (online) | Mondays 5.45-7pm

This class is for those with previous yoga experience and/or, a good level of fitness. The class will include intermediate and advanced movements, but always with modifications, and will be relatively energetic and dynamic. The class is also ideal for people who do sports and are looking to add yoga to their exercise programme. It is not suitable for pregnant women or for those with limited physical ability or serious health conditions.

Cost & booking: 4 full price or £2 concessions (key workers, no/low income etc). Book and pay for a place online. £

Early Bird Yoga (online) | Tuesdays 7.30-8.30am

An early morning class which will get you moving and set you up for the rest of the day. This is a mixed ability class with complete beginners welcome as well as those with more yoga experience. The class will include yoga movement and poses, breath work and mindfulness.

Cost & booking: £4 full price or £2 concessions (key workers, no/low income etc). Book and pay for a place online.

Intermediate yoga DUMFRIES | Wednesdays 6-7pm

We’re back! This is a return to the in-person Dumfries class and will take place as long as restrictions allow. This class is for those with previous yoga experience and/or, a good level of fitness. The class will include intermediate and advanced movements, but always with modifications, and will be relatively energetic and dynamic. The class is also ideal for people who do sports and are looking to add yoga to their exercise programme. It is not suitable for pregnant women or for those with limited physical ability or serious health conditions.

In order to comply with the guidance, there are only six places available. Places must be booked in advance, no drop-ins allowed. (The online booking system will show you how many spaces are available, or you can contact me up to 5pm on the day to check.) Please read the guidance first, which sets out what to bring, how the class will operate, how the venue is set up etc. (Starts 23rd September). Please bring your own yoga mat, or contact me in advance if you would like to hire one on a temporary basis.

Cost & booking: Cost £6 full price or £4 concessions (key workers, no/low income etc). Book and pay for a place online.

Midday Yoga (online) | Thursdays 12-12.45pm

A midday class which will bring some movement into your day if you are sat working all day and want to fit in some exercise during the day, as well as some de-stressing techniques. This is a mixed ability class with complete beginners welcome as well as those with more yoga experience. The class will include yoga movement and postures, breath work and mindfulness.

Cost & booking: Cost £3 full price or £1.50 concessions (key workers, no/low income etc). Book and pay for a place online.

Weekend wind-down yoga (Dumfries) | Fridays 5.30-6.30pm

This class will focus on mindful movement, beneficial breathing, and de-stressing techniques to help you wind-down and feel relaxed for the weekend. This is a mixed ability class with complete beginners welcome as well as those with more yoga experience. The class will include yoga movement and poses, breath work and mindfulness. Ease your way into the weekend gradually!

Please bring your own yoga mat, or contact me in advance if you would like to hire one on a temporary basis.

You must abide by the Covid-19 guidelines in Studio 3, and answer health questions on booking. Booking is online in advance (or contact me directly).

My yoga classes are ideal if:

  • you spend the working week mainly sitting down and want to move and release areas of the body
  • you have a tendency to have stiff shoulders, neck and upper back and want to ease this area
  • you have mild back discomfort and want to move mindfully
  • you need to have some ‘me time’ to feel calmer and more relaxed
  • you have feelings of low mood, anxiety, stress and mild depression and want to learn techniques that can help you
  • you are looking to improve your fitness
  • you want to develop your yoga practice, including breath work and meditation
  • you want to add yoga to your cross-training programme
  • or many other reasons!

I can also create tailored personal yoga videos, or hold live personal 1-to-1 yoga/mediation sessions via video sharing, for 30 or 60 minutes – contact me directly to discuss this option.
